5 Electric AC Buses in Rohtak to Run from January 26, Fares Starting at ₹10

Rohtak is all set to improve its public transportation with the introduction of five electric AC buses in Rohtak on January 26, Republic Day.

The electric bus service in Rohtak aims to provide a sustainable and efficient mode of transport for daily commuters. The initiative, undertaken by the State Transport Department, will introduce five air-conditioned electric buses to the city.

On Republic Day, passengers can avail of free rides on these buses. Post-launch, the fares will be set between ₹10 to ₹20, depending on the distance traveled. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will virtually inaugurate the service in Rohtak and four other districts.

The five electric AC buses in Rohtak will be delivered to the transport depot on January 23. Thirteen conductors have been appointed for smooth operations. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will flag off the buses on January 26 in Rohtak and launch them in five other districts through video conferencing.

Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata stated that thousands of people commute daily within Rohtak, necessitating a robust public transportation system. The district administration, in coordination with the Transport Department, has designed a plan to introduce electric AC buses in Rohtak for smooth and eco-friendly travel.
