Deputy Mayor Bhumana Abhinay informed that the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) has collaborated with the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) to facilitate the operation of this bus.

The electric double decker bus is slated to commence operations in Tirupati by the end of October, with plans for fleet expansion post successful trial runs.
Under the aegis of the Tirupati Smart City Corporation Ltd, a part of the Central Government’s Smart City project, the Municipal Corporation procured the electric bus, demonstrating its commitment to reducing emissions and promoting sustainable transportation options.
