Gurugram to Chandigarh Bus Timing Haryana Roadways

In a major boost to regional connectivity, Noida International Airport (NIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Haryana Roadways to launch direct buses from Noida airport to Haryana. The initiative is designed to provide seamless, efficient travel for passengers heading to destinations such as Palwal, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Kurukshetra, Chandigarh, Hisar, Narnaul, Panipat, and Ambala. The service is set to commence once the airport begins commercial operations.

Earlier in February 2025, Noida International Airport (NIA) officially announced its partnership with Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) to introduce direct bus services from Noida Airport to Uttarakhand. This announcement is another step forward in improving connectivity across multiple regions.

The strategic agreement with Haryana Roadways, announced on Thursday, underscores a commitment to enhance travel options within the Delhi-NCR region. “We are proud to announce our strategic partnership with Noida International Airport, which marks a transformative step towards enhancing regional connectivity,” said an official from Haryana Roadways. “By connecting our road network with the growing air traffic, we aim to provide faster, more reliable travel options, further promoting tourism, economic growth, and convenience for all.”

A Comprehensive Plan for Bus Connectivity

The MoU with Haryana Roadways comes as part of a broader plan to integrate air and ground transportation. The airport, located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is strategically positioned near Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand, ensuring it caters to a vast passenger base across these regions. Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of Noida International Airport, emphasized the importance of this development:
“By ensuring convenient ground transportation to major destinations, we are connecting people to opportunities and enhancing access to key markets. This partnership reaffirms our commitment to boosting regional connectivity, facilitating tourism, and driving economic growth, while delivering a world-class travel experience.”

In addition, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) had announced plans on January 29, 2025, to launch bus services linking Noida International Airport with nearby districts. A dedicated committee is currently surveying routes and preparing a detailed route chart, with services expected to commence following government approval.

Noida International Airport: A Future Aviation Hub

Set to begin flight operations by the end of April 2025, Noida International Airport will initially operate with one runway and one terminal, handling 12 million passengers annually. Upon full completion in its fourth phase, the airport is projected to serve up to 70 million passengers per year, positioning itself as a major aviation hub for North India. The airport, designated with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) code DXN, serves as a crucial link connecting Greater Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh with national and international destinations. Its concession period, which began on October 1, 2021, will run for 40 years.

Additionally, airport authorities are working closely with government agencies to ensure smooth access for private vehicles and are collaborating with partners to expand public transportation options. These efforts are expected to further streamline connectivity and enhance the overall travel experience for passengers.
