Hapur Bus Accident: 6 Killed, 7 Injured After Bus Hits Truck on Dhaulana–Gulawati Road

At least six people were killed and seven others injured in a tragic bus accident in Hapur after a passenger bus carrying wedding guests collided with a truck on the Dhaulana–Gulawati road in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, April 13.

The bus was returning from a wedding procession when the crash occurred in the early hours, leaving several passengers trapped in the wreckage.

According to Superintendent of Police Gyananjay Singh, police teams reached the site soon after receiving information and launched immediate rescue and relief operations. Six victims died on the spot, while the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The impact of the collision was severe, with multiple passengers sustaining critical injuries. Local residents and emergency responders assisted police teams in rescuing those trapped inside the bus.

“A bus carrying passengers returning from a wedding procession collided with a truck. Police teams immediately reached the spot and began relief work. Six people died on the spot, while seven injured are undergoing treatment,” SP Gyananjay Singh said.

Officials confirmed that around 12 people were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident. One of the deceased is yet to be identified and is believed to be the driver.

Authorities have since removed the damaged vehicles and restored traffic movement on the stretch.
