In a move that will impact millions of daily bus commuters, the Rajasthan State Transport Department has announced a 10% fare hike across all categories of stage carriage buses operated under Rajasthan Roadways. The revised fares came into force at 12:00 AM on Tuesday night, according to an official order issued by RSRTC Managing Director Purushottam Sharma.

The new fare structure applies to all service categories including ordinary, express/mail, semi-deluxe, deluxe, and air-conditioned (AC) buses. Below are the updated per-kilometre rates per passenger:

The fare hike, as per officials, is a direct response to rising operational and fuel costs. It marks the first significant fare revision in recent months and is aligned with similar moves made by other state transport undertakings in India.
