Electric Buses in Delhi: JBM Delivers 66 New Buses Under DEVi Project
The 66 JBM electric buses in Delhi are part of 100 DEVi buses flagged off by the capital’s CM.

New Delhi, June 27, 2025: In a major thrust towards greener public transport, Chief Minister, Smt. Rekha Gupta officially flagged off 100 new electric buses in Delhi under the Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector (DEVi) initiative. The flag-off event took place at Narela Terminal and marks a significant moment in the city’s ongoing shift to sustainable mobility.
Out of the 100 buses introduced, 66 have been manufactured and supplied by JBM Electric Vehicles, one of India’s leading electric bus manufacturers. These buses will operate out of the Nangloi Depot. This will improve connectivity and reduce pollution across the western and northwestern parts of Delhi.
The addition of these electric buses in Delhi strengthens the capital’s public transport network. It will also help cut down vehicular emissions — a key concern for the city’s air quality and overall sustainability.
JBM Boosts Delhi’s EV Momentum
JBM Electric Vehicles has been at the forefront of India’s electric mobility journey. The company recently set up the world’s largest integrated EV bus manufacturing facility outside China, right here in the Delhi-NCR region. With the ability to produce up to 20,000 electric buses a year, JBM is well-placed to support not just Delhi but cities across India in their transition to cleaner public transport.
These newly launched ECOLIFE buses are part of JBM’s effort to offer not just electric alternatives but smart, comfortable, and safe urban transport options.
