LAccMI Scheme is expected to generate employment opportunities
As part of the program launched under the 5T scheme, Mission Shakti mothers have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the buses.

On October 12, 36 buses were inaugurated under the Odisha LAccmi Bus Scheme, connecting 111 panchayats in Malkangiri district. LAccMI Bus Services were then launched in Rayagada on November 26, 2023.

On February 1, CM Patnaik extended the LAccMI bus service to three more districts: Deogarh, Angul, and Dhenkanal. A total of 101 buses will now connect 440 panchayats across these districts.

Recently, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik extended the LAccMi Bus Service to five more districts – Bolangir, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, and Sundargarh – via video conferencing on February 12, 2024.

Now, 301 buses are set to operate in 1,340 panchayats across five districts, benefiting over 83 lakh people.

As per the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the service comprised 44 buses in 313 panchayats of Bolangir, benefiting 16.50 lakh people; 60 buses in 243 panchayats of Bargarh, benefiting 14.22 lakh people; 25 buses in 158 panchayats of Bhadrak, benefiting 10.80 lakh people; 107 buses in 386 panchayats of Mayurbhanj, benefiting 24.20 lakh people; and 65 buses in 240 panchayats of Sundargarh, benefiting 17.20 lakh people.

As part of the program launched under the 5T scheme, Mission Shakti mothers have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the buses.

A total of 1,623 buses will be operated under the Odisha LAccMI Scheme.
