Chartered Speed Limited has deployed 11 electric buses for DCM Shriram’s staff transportation at Jhagadia GIDC, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable, technology-driven mobility.

Chartered Speed Limited has taken a significant step toward sustainable transportation by deploying 11 electric buses dedicated to staff transportation for DCM Shriram at Jhagadia GIDC in Bharuch, Gujarat. The initiative reflects a shared commitment by both organizations to reduce environmental impact while enhancing employee mobility solutions.
The electric bus service was formally inaugurated by Sanyam Gandhi, Whole-time Director at Chartered Speed Limited, alongside Aditya Shriram, Deputy Managing Director at DCM Shriram. The presence of senior leadership from both companies highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative and underscored a leadership-driven focus on sustainability and innovation in corporate transportation.
Chartered Speed Limited has been among the early adopters of electric vehicle (EV) technology in the intra-city travel segment. With this deployment, the company continues to strengthen its efforts to integrate clean energy solutions into its operations.

The newly introduced electric buses are designed with a strong emphasis on safety and technology, featuring real-time GPS tracking, onboard Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), CCTV cameras, fire protection systems, and first-aid kits to ensure a secure and reliable commuting experience for employees.
Commenting on the launch, Sanyam Gandhi said that the deployment of electric buses marks an important milestone in the company’s sustainability journey.
He emphasized that Chartered Speed Limited is focused on reducing the carbon footprint of its operations while building a large, clean energy-powered fleet aligned with global trends in public transport electrification.
