MG Automotives Secures AIS 153 Certification for 13.5M Coach Range
MG Automotives has received AIS 153 certification for its 13.5M sleeper and seater-sleeper coaches, marking a major step toward enhanced safety, compliance, and innovation in bus manufacturing.

MG Automotives (Bus & Coach) Pvt. Ltd. has become one of the first companies in India to receive the newly mandated AIS 153 Certification for its 13.5-meter sleeper and seater-sleeper buses, across all OEM chassis platforms.
This milestone marks a significant advancement in the realm of bus safety, design, and regulatory compliance.
AIS 153 is the latest Automotive Industry Standard introduced by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Government of India. It aims to improve passenger safety, ensure structural integrity, and bring uniformity to bus body construction.
Starting September 2025, all newly manufactured buses in India must comply with these updated standards. This makes AIS 153 certification essential for OEMs and coach builders across the country.
MG Automotives’ early compliance positions the company at the forefront of a safer and more standardized future for public transport in India.
By securing AIS 153 Certification ahead of the regulatory deadline, MG Automotives has once again proven its commitment to innovation, quality, and passenger safety.
The company’s certified models include 13.5M sleeper coaches and seater cum sleeper variants across all OEM chassis platforms.
