MG Group has launched the MG TIGRA, a next-gen super-premium intercity coach, while unveiling a new brand identity that marks its bold step into global-ready, design-led mobility.

Bengaluru, July 5: MG Group, one of India’s leading privately-owned bus and coach manufacturers, has officially launched MG TIGRA, a next-generation, in-house developed super-premium intercity coach, alongside a bold new corporate identity.
The reveal took place during the “RE:BORN” event at The Royal Senate, Palace Grounds in Bengaluru. The event was attended by key stakeholders from across the automotive and mobility ecosystem, including coach customers, suppliers, and technology partners. The MG TIGRA is engineered for domestic and global markets and is compatible with all 13.5-meter coach chassis platforms.

Repositioning the MG Brand
With the launch of TIGRA and its refreshed logo, featuring a sleek ‘M to G’ transition inside a hexagonal bolt, the group is signaling a future-forward, design-led shift in its brand philosophy.
“With TIGRA, we are repositioning MG as a front-facing brand known for innovation, design leadership, and premium offerings,” said Anil Mohan Kamat, Managing Director, MG Group.

Purpose-built for intercity routes and tourism, MG TIGRA combines luxury, functionality, and futuristic aesthetics. Key features include:

Advanced Manufacturing in Belagavi
TIGRA will be manufactured at MG’s state-of-the-art plant in Desur, Belagavi, which has seen substantial investments in tooling and quality systems. The company also operates a second facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana.
Since its founding in 1980, MG Group has delivered over 125,000 bus bodies spanning school buses, defense vehicles, luxury coaches, and ambulances. This rich legacy now fuels the evolution toward global-grade, future-ready mobility solutions.
