Zingbus launches Zingbus Plus Electric on the Delhi–Dehradun route. The company plans to expand electric bus services to the Gurgaon–Dehradun and Gurgaon–Amritsar routes by next month.

Zingbus has officially launched Zingbus Plus Electric, a premium intercity bus service powered by electric mobility, starting with the busy Delhi to Dehradun route.
This marks the company’s major entry into sustainable long-distance travel, merging its signature comfort and service with advanced electric vehicle technology.
The service is designed to provide passengers with the same premium travel experience as existing Zingbus offerings, now with the added benefit of reduced emissions.
The initiative also aligns with India’s broader clean energy goals, aiming to cut down dependency on fossil fuels while ensuring cost-efficient operations in the long run.

Charging & Expansion Plans
To strengthen the rollout of Zingbus electric services, the company has partnered with Jio-bp to set up and operate dedicated EV charging infrastructure across major intercity corridors. This will ensure seamless operations as more electric buses join the fleet.
According to Zingbus Co-founder Prashant Kumar, the company is aiming to deploy 3,000 electric buses by 2030.
The expansion strategy includes supporting small and medium fleet owners with technology, operational insights, and financial guidance to transition to electric vehicles.

According to Ujjwal Jain, Senior Manager at Zingbus, the company will expand its electric bus services to the Gurgaon–Amritsar route by next month.
“You can soon experience our electric buses on the Gurgaon–Dehradun and Gurgaon–Amritsar routes, starting next month. This is just the beginning of a larger EV journey we’re building across India,” Jain shared in a LinkedIn post.
By combining sustainability with convenience, Zingbus Plus Electric is set to redefine premium intercity travel in India, paving the way for a greener and smarter transport future.
