In a major step toward advancing clean public transport in India, EKA Mobility has won an order to deliver 750 electric buses to Andhra Pradesh as part of a large-scale initiative to electrify urban mobility.

The order, awarded under the PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme, spans 11 key cities across the state and signals Andhra Pradesh’s firm commitment to building a sustainable and future-ready transportation system.

This landmark order will see the deployment of both 9-meter and 12-meter fully electric buses, specifically tailored to meet diverse urban transit needs.

The project covers major cities including Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Amravati, Guntur, and Nellore, among others.

The fleet comprises 129 nine-meter and 621 twelve-meter electric buses, designed to deliver energy efficiency, lower emissions, and superior passenger comfort.

EKA Mobility, a division of Pinnacle Industries, is executing the project in partnership with GreenCell Mobility, which has secured a broader order to supply over 1,200 electric buses across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

This partnership brings together manufacturing expertise and operational scale to ensure smooth deployment and long-term support for this transformative initiative.

According to Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Chairman of EKA Mobility, this partnership is a “defining moment in our journey to power India’s sustainable cities with clean, intelligent mobility solutions.”

This project follows closely on the heels of EKA Mobility’s recent successes, including major orders from Uttar Pradesh and Nagpur, further expanding its national footprint in the electric bus segment.

Recently, EKA Mobility also partnered with Chartered Speed to deploy 675 electric buses across Rajasthan.
