The incident unfolded in the district of Mestre, where a bus carrying tourists en route to a campground veered off an overpass, falling perilously close to railway lines.

Venice’s Mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, expressed his profound shock at the scene, describing it as “apocalyptic.”

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni extended heartfelt condolences, emphasizing that the government’s thoughts are with the victims, their families, and friends.
