The historic city of Rouen, France, is undergoing a sustainable transportation revolution. Métropole Rouen Normandie, the region’s governing body, has partnered with Ebusco, a leading electric bus manufacturer, to deploy a fleet of over 100 zero-emission electric buses.

This significant investment marks a major step towards cleaner air and a more sustainable future for the city.

Ebusco Secures Major Order for 100 Electric Buses

Ebusco emerged victorious after a competitive bidding process. The order comprises a mix of 15 brand new Ebusco 3.0 18-meter buses and 85 additional Ebusco 3.0 buses already in production.

These state-of-the-art electric buses boast impressive features designed to meet the needs of Rouen’s growing public transportation system.

Ebusco 3.0: The Electric Bus Powering Rouen’s Streets

The Ebusco 3.0 buses are specifically designed for urban environments. Equipped with a lightweight design and powerful battery packs exceeding 500 kWh, these buses can navigate Rouen’s diverse topography efficiently.

The extended range allows for operation throughout the day on a single charge, returning to the depot for overnight replenishment using Ebusco’s charging infrastructure.

Enhanced Passenger Comfort and Safety

Passenger comfort is a priority for Métropole Rouen Normandie. The new Ebusco 3.0 buses will feature four double doors for faster passenger boarding and disembarking.

The spacious interiors will provide a comfortable travel experience for all riders. Additionally, these buses are integrated with an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) that improves vehicle handling and enhances overall safety for both passengers and drivers.

Sustainable Solution: Ebusco Electric Buses Reduce Emissions

The transition to electric buses is a significant step towards a more sustainable Rouen. Electric buses produce zero tailpipe emissions, significantly reducing air and noise pollution within the city.

Ebusco’s Cléon Production Facility Delivers Locally

The new Ebusco 3.0 18-meter buses will be manufactured at Ebusco’s Cléon facility located in France.

This local production not only ensures a reliable supply chain but also contributes to the region’s economy by creating jobs and boosting local manufacturing.
