Prawaas 4.0 Kicks Off in Bengaluru with a Focus on “Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Passenger Mobility”

Prawaas 4.0, India’s premier multimodal transport event, officially opened today in Bengaluru, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders to explore advancements in public transportation. The three-day event, supported by major government ministries and featuring over 200 exhibitors, focuses on driving innovation and sustainability in the transport sector.

Bengaluru, August 29: The much-anticipated Prawaas 4.0, India’s premier multimodal transport event, commenced today in Bengaluru.

Organized by the Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), this flagship event is supported by key government ministries, including the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Ministry of Heavy Industries, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri D.K. Shivakumar.

The inauguration ceremony was also graced by:

  • Shri Ojing Tasing, Hon’ble Minister for Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, Co-operation, and Transport, Government of Arunachal Pradesh
  • Shri Yoonus Khan, Former Transport Minister, Government of Rajasthan

The event is also backed by six local host associations:

Curated by MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications, Prawaas 4.0 has brought together leading bus and car operators from across India.

The three-day event covers nine key segments: Intercity, Intracity, School Bus, Employee Transport, Tour Operators, Tourists Cabs, Maxi Cabs, PPP-SPVs, and Critical Care.

The exhibition has attracted over 5,000 registered operators, with notable delegations from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Odisha, and significant numbers from Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, and a special delegation of 80+ members from the North East region.

The focal theme of Prawaas 4.0, “Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Passenger Mobility,” aims to set a new benchmark in the transport sector.

The Next 3 Days at Prawaas 4.0

Over the next two days, the event will feature a comprehensive range of activities, including:

  • Exhibition: Showcasing innovations from over 200 exhibitors, including Tata Motors, Volvo Eicher, RedBus, Veera, Abhibus, Prakash, Nippon Paint, JBM Group, Eka Mobility, Repos Energy, Ashok Leyland, Eberspächer, Bosch, Trans ACNR, Spheros Motherson, Futureautotech-Global Ventures, Intrcity SmartBus, and others.
  • Conference: A session with over 100 experts discussing topics such as Multimodal Transportation, PPP Models, School Buses, Tourism, Electric Vehicles (EVs), Insurance, and the Car Industry, with over 1,500 industry representatives expected.
  • Awards Function: Celebrating excellence in the transport sector.
  • Leadership Talks and Panel Discussions: Featuring key industry leaders.
  • BOCI Yuwa Initiative: A new initiative aimed at engaging and empowering the younger generation in the transport sector.

In his address, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar acknowledged the challenges faced by the transport sector and committed to seeking solutions.

Shri Prasanna Patwardhan, President of BOCI, emphasized that Prawaas 4.0 represents a significant step in revolutionizing India’s transportation landscape through innovation, collaboration, and sustainable practices.

The event also featured a video message from Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, who extended his support and encouragement to the operators’ fraternity.
