Pinjore Bus Accident: Haryana Roadways Driver & Conductor Suspended

Pinjore bus accident update: Earlier today, a Haryana Roadways bus overturned near Naulata village in Pinjore town injuring about 40 school students. In response, Haryana Roadways has suspended both the driver and conductor of the bus involved in the incident.

Haryana Roadways has suspended both the driver and the conductor of the roadways bus involved in the Pinjore bus accident today. The driver involved in the incident has been identified as Sandip Singh, while the conductor has been identified as Yashpal.

Early in the morning today, an overloaded Haryana Roadways mini bus overturned near Pinjore in the Panchkula district, injuring 50 people, including over 40 school children.

According to Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Dr. Yash Garg, the bus was overspeeding and overturned while negotiating a curve.

Following the accident, the bus driver fled the scene, while the conductor, who was injured during the incident, is currently receiving medical treatment at a government hospital in Pinjore.

“Around 30 children have been admitted to the Civil Hospital, while others are being observed in Pinjore. All children are in stable condition with no critical injuries reported. Additionally, four adults, including a 60-year-old woman with a crush injury to her arm, have also been brought to the Civil Hospital. Police are currently investigating the incident,” Dr. Yash Garg told the media.

Cause of the Pinjore Bus Accident Today

Based on initial observations, authorities suspect that today’s bus accident near Pinjore was primarily caused by overspeeding, exacerbated by overloading and substandard road conditions.

The driver’s inability to negotiate a curve at high speed resulted in the overturning of the bus. Officials investigating the Pinjore bus accident attribute these factors collectively to the occurrence of the accident.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the exact causes and circumstances leading to the accident.

Casualties

Although there were no fatalities, around 50 individuals sustained injuries, including over 40 school children. The injured were promptly taken to the Pinjore Hospital and Sector 6 Civil Hospital in Panchkula, where they received medical treatment.

Fortunately, all the children are reported to be in stable condition, with none of the injuries deemed critical.

Additionally, four adults, including a 60-year-old woman with a crush injury to her arm, were also brought to the hospital for medical attention. It was reported that the woman was not a passenger on the bus but a pedestrian on the road at the time of the accident.

“Following the Pinjore bus accident, four adults were also transported to the Civil Hospital in Panchkula for treatment. Among them, a 60-year-old woman sustained a crush injury to her arm and has been referred to PGIMER in Chandigarh for further medical care. Additionally, another injured individual has been shifted to the ICU,” said Dr. Yash Garg.

Panchkula’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mukta Kumar, provided an update stating that 46 injured individuals were admitted to the Pinjore Polyclinic since morning, with 22 of them being referred to other medical facilities.
