MP Cabinet Approves Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has approved the launch of Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva, a new scheme aimed at delivering organised, convenient, and safe bus transport on both urban and rural routes. The decision was announced following a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, briefing the media, emphasized the need for a robust public transport system in the state. He noted that after incurring significant financial losses, the Madhya Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation was dissolved on January 3, 2005.
The new transport initiative marks a shift in policy where the government will no longer purchase buses but will instead engage private bus operators under a restructured operational model.
