It has been a few months since Gurugram based Adventures Overland announced about the longest bus route in the history of the world – Bus to London – a bus journey that will start from New Delhi and end in London. Within minutes, the news of the bus from Delhi to London spread like wildfire and was welcomed by travel enthusiasts and media houses in India and the world over with immense enthusiasm and excitement.

According to the company, travelers from as many 195 countries have expressed their interest in this one of a kind, epic bus journey. 

As the world is slowly getting back on its feet with domestic travel already open in most countries and international travel restrictions being lifted in stages, Adventures Overland has revealed that the starting date of the first-ever bus journey between London and Delhi will tentatively start from May 2021

The company has revealed that the ‘Dream Bus’ is already being customized for the journey to give passengers unmatched luxury, comfort and state-of-the-art facilities on board. Also, on popular demand, a lavatory is now getting installed on the bus.

The bus will take 70 days to travel from New Delhi, India to London. Throughout it’s course, the bus will cover upwards of 20,000 Kms and will travel through 18 countries including Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK.

What’s more exciting is that the trip will also be divided in 4 legs and passengers can opt for either of these legs or for a full journey. So if you want to take a bus journey from India to Myanmar & Thailand, you can opt for the first leg. Similarly, if you want to opt for a bus journey from India to China, you can go for the second leg of the Delhi London bus.

Moreover, in line with complications posed by the COVID-19 pandemic,  Adventure Overland has announced they are anticipating an increase in the participation cost by 3-5%

“The health and safety regulations imposed by various regulatory bodies, hotels, government departments and numerous other service providers to factor in the ongoing pandemic has led to an increase in the cost. We will share the exact participation cost once we start taking bookings,” states a company spokesperson

The inside news is that travelers will have to pay a hefty sum for the India to London bus ticket price. According to a report by the Financial Express, a single bus ticket price from Delhi to London will be priced at upwards of ₹15 lakhs. On the other hand, the legs will cost from around 3.5 lakh to 5 lakh.

While the company has received immense response, buses plying on the lonest bus route in the world will only have limited seats (some reports in the internet has pegged the number of seats at just 20). Keeping this in mind, Adventure overland has just starting a pre-booking registration process to ensure that applicants who are really passionate and interested get a fair chance to join the maiden journey of Bus to London.
