Update, January 30: OSRTC has announced that “due to unavoidable circumstances, OSRTC bus services to Ayodhya and Maha Kumbh stand canceled till February 4, 2024.

In preparation for the Maha Kumbh 2025, the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has launched OSRTC Maha Kumbh buses to ensure safe and premium travel for Odia pilgrims.

Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi flagged the buses off on January 12, 2024, at the Lok Seva Bhawan. Initially, four buses will operate on the 2,500+ km route connecting Odisha to Prayagraj and Ayodhya.

“In the initial phase, we have introduced four buses. Should the demand arise, additional buses will be deployed,” stated Majhi.

The initiative aims to promote affordable bus services for Maha Kumbh, while enhancing accessibility for pilgrims traveling from Odisha to Ayodhya.

The OSRTC premium buses will run between January 13 and February 26, 2025, offering world-class facilities and ensuring compliance with international safety standards.
