redBus Pink Report 2026: Women’s Bus Travel Up 136%, Solo Trips Surge Nationwide

redBus released the Pink Report on March 13, 2026, analysing platform data from 2019 (pre-pandemic) and 2025 (post-pandemic).
The report tracks women’s intercity bus mobility trends across India. It highlights growth rates, regional shares, and behavioural patterns based on redBus bookings.

Overall Growth Trends
Women’s bus travel grew faster than the market average over six years.
- Women travellers increased by 136% from 2019 to 2025.
- Overall passenger growth was 72% in the same period.
- Women’s share of total bus passengers rose from 23% in 2019 to 33% in 2025.
Gen Z women (14-29 years) lead the shift, forming 60% of all women passengers. They account for 68% of solo women trips, with nearly 2 in 5 women trips taken solo.
