Uber and Refex Green to Deploy 1000 EVs Across India

Uber has partnered with Refex Green Mobility to introduce 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) across key Indian cities by 2026.
This move aligns with Uber’s global commitment to achieving a zero-emission mobility network by 2040.

Aditya Kapoor, Head of Supply and Electrification at Uber India and South Asia, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating,
“Uber is committed to accelerating the shift to zero-emission mobility in India, and this partnership with Refex eVeelz is a significant step in that direction.”
Contribution to India’s Sustainability Goals
Refex Green Mobility, already operating nearly 1,300 company-owned four-wheeler EVs, aims to expand sustainable mobility options through this initiative. Sachin Navtosh Jha, Chief of Staff at Refex Group, highlighted the partnership’s impact, saying,
“This collaboration will help reduce urban carbon emissions and contribute to India’s broader sustainability goals.”
Uber’s EV Expansion Efforts
As part of its electrification strategy, Uber has introduced Uber Green in major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. This service enables users to book fully electric, zero tailpipe emission vehicles.
