DICV to launch its MY24 BharatBenz Trucks by April 2024
Setting new industry benchmarks and achieving record-breaking sales in 2023, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has announced the launch of its latest line of trucks – the MY24 BharatBenz Trucks.
According to Mr. Sreeram Venkateswaran, President and Chief Business Officer (domestic sales and customer service), the MY24 BharatBenz Trucks range offers superior features in terms of total cost of ownership, technology, reliability, safety, comfort, and serviceability.
Within the MY24 BharatBenz trucks range, DICV will introduce an all-new Rigid heavy-duty range and a mining range of trucks.
These trucks are poised to deliver best-in-class fuel efficiency, power, torque, safety, reliability, and service benefits.
The company has also announced the launch of Daimler AG’s 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission in its range of MY24 BharatBenz Trucks in India.

The MY24 BharatBenz Trucks Specifications
Scheduled for release in April 2024, the all-new BharatBenz Rigid heavy-duty range will be available in the following five configurations:
- 2826R (6×2)
- 3526R (8×2)
- 3832R (8×2)
- 4232R (10×2)
- 4832R (10×2)
Powered by an all-new 6.7-liter, common-rail BSVI Stage 2 BharatBenz engine, these trucks are designed to deliver enhanced acceleration, class-leading peak torque, improved durability and drivability, and reduced gear changes, ensuring unmatched reliability in Indian conditions.
The BharatBenz Construction and Mining Heavy-Duty range
The new range of BharatBenz construction and mining heavy-duty trucks has been completely re-engineered to offer superior functionality and include several segment-first features.
Available in 2828C and 3532C configurations, these trucks are optimized for surface transport construction applications, offering a high-power engine, class-leading torque, a robust chassis, new suspension, higher ground clearance, rear shock absorbers, and hill-hold assist.
Daimler’s 12-Speed (AMT) to be Introduced in My24 BharatBenz Trucks
BharatBenz trucks will now come equipped with the world-renowned 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) variants for the first time in its tractor-trailer and mining MY24 models
Available in variants such as 4032TT, 5532TT, 3532CM, and 2832CM for long haul and mining purposes, the new AMT promises a seamless transmission of power to the wheels, minimizing jerks and reducing shifting time.
Having been employed in over 500,000 trucks worldwide, this innovative technology enhances reliability, diminishes the necessity for overhaul, and allows for convenient operation via a steering column shift stick, thereby elevating driver comfort.
