Simhachalam Temple goes green with Olectra Electric Buses

Olectra delivers electric buses to Simhachalam Temple

In a remarkable stride toward sustainable transportation, Olectra Greentech has delivered electric buses to the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamyvari Devasthanam (SVLNSD) in Simhachalam, Andhra Pradesh.

This revered temple destination, nestled atop the Simhachalam Hill Range, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, worshipped as Varaha Narasimha.

To enhance the commuting experience for devotees, Olectra has delivered state-of-the-art, zero-emission electric buses to SVLNSD.

With a seating capacity of 41, Olectra‘s eco-friendly e-buses are set to ferry devotees sustainably from the foothills to the temple. This initiative aligns with the temple’s commitment to environmental preservation and echoes Olectra’s dedication to providing efficient and reliable transportation solutions.

This transition to electric buses marks a significant shift for Simhachalam temple, following the proposal for ‘electrical mobility’ suggested by the temple’s trust board chairman and former civil aviation minister, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju in 2022.

In response to this proposal, the temple authorities sought quotations from electric bus manufacturers, ultimately partnering with Olectra Greentech for their eco-friendly fleet.

This partnership underscores the temple’s commitment to sustainable practices and aligns with Olectra Greentech’s mission to drive positive environmental change through innovative solutions.

As Simhachalam temple embraces electric buses, it paves the way for a greener, more sustainable future while preserving the sanctity of this sacred destination.
