Nobina, the largest bus operator in the Nordic region, has placed an order for 55 electric regional buses from Solaris. These buses will be used in the Stockholm region under the supervision of SL (Storstockholms Lokaltrafik), the public transport authority in the area.

The buses are the Solaris Urbino Electric 15 LE, launched in late 2020 and designed specifically for the Scandinavian market. They have a 560 kWh battery pack and can be charged at the depot.

The Solaris Urbino Electric 15 LE is also equipped with a wheelchair ramp and can seat up to 65 passengers and accommodate up to 105 passengers.

When Will Solaris Deliver the 55 Electric Buses to Nobina?

The 55 electric buses for Nobina are scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2023. This is a significant step forward for Nobina and Storstockholms Lokaltrafik in their efforts to reduce emissions and make public transportation more sustainable in Stockholm.
