The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced the launch of its ‘Shivai’ air-conditioned bus service on the Pune Station–Borivali route via Sion, aiming to address rising passenger demand and enhance intercity travel comfort.

The new service will be operated from the Shivajinagar bus depot and is expected to offer a safer, faster, and more reliable travel option for commuters travelling between Pune and Mumbai’s suburban regions.

According to MSRTC officials, the Shivai AC buses are designed to provide improved passenger comfort, modern safety features, and adherence to scheduled timings. The corporation has urged travellers to utilise the newly introduced service, particularly during peak travel hours when demand on the Pune–Mumbai corridor remains consistently high.
