IntrCity SmartBus targets ₹1000 Cr revenue by 2027, following a remarkable 70% year-on-year growth, driven by fleet expansion and tech-enabled service upgrades.

IntrCity SmartBus, a pioneer in digitally integrated long-distance travel, is gaining strong momentum in India’s intercity mobility sector.
The company has clocked a remarkable 70% growth in revenue for the financial year 2025, marking its second consecutive year of profitability.
Alongside, its adjusted EBITDA has multiplied tenfold, underscoring both strategic discipline and operational efficiency.
Riding high on this trajectory, IntrCity is now aiming to touch ₹1000 crore in annual revenue by 2027. The target is ambitious but well within reach, backed by its plan to introduce 500 additional SmartBuses.
The company already serves close to a million travelers monthly and is set to deepen its reach.
The Road Less Travelled: Reflections on Building OurBus Bharat – COO Lav Kush
What sets IntrCity SmartBus apart is not just the technology it uses, but how it’s applied to everyday travel problems. The company has transformed a once disjointed and unpredictable sector by focusing on timely departures, skilled drivers, hygienic onboard environments, and smooth boarding experiences.
With tools like predictive maintenance and automated luggage systems, the platform ensures reliability for both passengers and operator partners alike.
Today, IntrCity operates on over 630 routes across 16 Indian states, making premium bus travel both accessible and affordable. It has built a strong reputation by consistently delivering quality while driving down inefficiencies.
“Our foundation rests on two essential beliefs,” said Manish Rathi, Co-founder and CEO of IntrCity SmartBus. “First, we prioritize the passenger experience in a country where road travel needs to be both safe and pleasant. Second, we ensure our operator partners grow with us.
“For years, the biggest challenge in the bus ecosystem has been achieving scale without sacrificing margins. We believe we’ve solved that puzzle through a blend of technology, compliance, and data-led decision-making.”
Over the past year, the Noida-headquartered company added more than 200 buses to its fleet. Its last funding round brought in $4.5 million in Series C capital, raised in February 2024.
As the company prepares for its next phase of expansion, it remains focused on reshaping intercity travel by putting consistency, comfort, and trust at the heart of its services.
