May 2, Dima Hasao Bus Accident

A bus bound for Guwahati from Tripura was involved in an accident at Dittokcherra in Dima Hasao district around midnight. Tragically, one passenger lost their life on the spot, and several others sustained injuries.

Passengers reported that the driver was allegedly in an intoxicated state at the time of the incident.

May 4, Jalaun Bus Accident

Five individuals lost their lives and over 15 sustained injuries following a bus overturn near Gopalpura under the Madhaugarh police station area of Jalaun district.

May 6, Jhunjhunu Mini Bus Accident

Four people were killed and over 20 injured in a collision between a mini bus and a car in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district on Monday, police said.

The accident occurred near Thali village when an uncontrolled car, after hitting a motorcycle, rammed into a minibus, Singhana SHO Kailash Chand Yadav said.

The accident claimed the lives of all the four passengers of the car along with the bus driver.

May 10, Military Truck and Bus Collision in Rajgarh MP

A collision involving a military truck and two other vehicles resulted in the deaths of two people and left 15 injured in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district on Monday morning, police reported.

The accident occurred on National Highway-46 near Pilukhedi under the jurisdiction of the Kurawar police station. According to Kurawar Police Station in-charge Mehtab Singh Thakur, the preliminary investigation suggests that the accident was triggered by a burst tire on the military truck, leading it to collide with a private bus and an SUV.

May 14, Konasema Bus Accident

Four individuals lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after a speeding bus collided with a tractor. The accident occurred near Udimudi village under P Gannavaram mandal in Andhra Pradesh’s Konaseema district.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus collided with a tractor transporting laborers, leading to the fatalities. The collision resulted in the immediate deaths of three individuals, with one more person succumbing to injuries on the way to the hospital.

May 15, Man Fatally Crushed Between Two Private Buses

A man named Sivakumar was fatally crushed between two private buses. According to police reports, the accident happened around 11:30 AM Sivakumar and his mother, Saroja, had come to the bus stand after visiting relatives.

As Sivakumar walked between two stationary buses, the driver of the front bus, without a conductor present, reversed the vehicle. This caused Sivakumar to become trapped between the rear end of one bus and the front of the other, leading to his immediate death.

Further investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

May 15, Chilakaluripet Bus Accident

In the early hours of May 15, a tragic accident unfolded near Paumarru Village, close to Chilakaluripet in Palnadu district, claiming the lives of six individuals. The accident involved a bus and a tipper lorry, both of which were engulfed in flames, reducing them to ashes.

The bus, carrying around 42 passengers from Chinnaganjam village in Pachuru Assembly Constituency to Hyderabad, was on its journey when the devastating incident occurred. The passengers, who had cast their votes on May 13 and were returning to Hyderabad, faced a harrowing ordeal.

Among the casualties were four passengers, along with the drivers of both the bus and the lorry. Additionally, reports indicate that 13 individuals sustained injuries and were promptly transported to Guntur Government General Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Five women lost their lives, and 12 others sustained injuries in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, when a UP Roadways bus collided with a trailer truck on Friday, as confirmed by the police. The accident occurred on the Halaina Mahua Highway while the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Transport bus was en route to Jaipur from Aligarh.

Sub Inspector Brijendra Singh stated that the bus collided with the trailer truck ahead, resulting in the deaths of four women on the spot and injuring 13 others.

Police reported that among the injured individuals, a woman succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the Bharatpur government hospital.

May 18, Eight Passengers Charred to Death as Bus Catches Fire in Nuh

Almost eight passengers lost their lives, and several others sustained injuries when a bus traveling from Vrindavan caught fire on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near Nuh, Haryana, during the early hours of May 18th.

May 20, Rajgarh Bus Accident

Two individuals lost their lives, while 40 others sustained injuries in a tragic bus accident that occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district. The incident took place near Pachore town at approximately 1:30 AM.

The bus, which was carrying a total of 55 passengers, tragically fell from a flyover after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The bus was en route from Indore to Pichhore town in Shivpuri district when the accident transpired.

Following the accident, both the bus driver and conductor fled the scene. Authorities have since initiated an investigation into the incident, registering a case and launching a search operation to locate the driver and conductor.

May 23, Ambala-Delhi National Highway Bus Accident

Seven individuals tragically lost their lives, while 20 others sustained injuries in a devastating bus accident on the Ambala-Delhi-Jammu National Highway. The accident involved a minibus en route to the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir, originating from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday evening. The bus was carrying approximately 30 passengers, all of whom were relatives.

May 25, Pulbahal Bus Accident Himachal Pradesh

A private bus was involved in an accident near Pulbahal, within the Chapal sub-division. Tragically, the accident claimed the life of the bus driver, 30-year-old Kapil Kumar, hailing from Thanog village in Rajgarh.

At the time of the incident, the bus was traveling from Nahan to Pulbahal, with only the driver and conductor onboard. The conductor, identified as Mahesh Kumar, also 30 years old and from Baredi village in Rajgarh, sustained injuries and has been admitted to Solan Hospital for medical care.

May 25, Shahjahanpur Bus Accident

At least 11 individuals lost their lives and 10 sustained injuries after a truck overturned onto a bus carrying devotees to Uttarakhand. The tragic incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Khutar police station in Shahjahanpur district.

According to authorities, the accident transpired when a truck loaded with ballast stones collided with the parked bus at a roadside dhaba, subsequently flipping over onto it and causing fatal injuries to the devotees.

May 26, Lakhimpur Kheri Bus Accident

A tragic accident occurred on the Lakhimpur-Bahraich highway, resulting in the death of five individuals, including a child, and injuring eight others. Lakhimpur’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ramesh Kumar Tiwari, informed the media that the collision took place when a speeding van traveling from Bahraich to Lakhimpur collided with an oncoming Uttar Pradesh roadways bus near Nakha village.

Four van passengers, including a child, lost their lives at the scene, while another passenger succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital, as confirmed by the DSP.

May 28, Phiringia Bus Accident

Two passengers were killed and 9 were injured after a private sleeper bus they were traveling in turned turtle near Phiringia in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.

As per the local police, the bus coming from Muniguda to Phubani lost control and overturned near Kaliasahi village due to overspeeding.

The bus conductor and a college student died on the spot.

May 28, Akhnoor Bus Accident, Jammu

At least 22 pilgrims, including three children and nine women, lost their lives, and 45 others were injured when the bus they were traveling in veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Akhnoor area of Jammu district on the Jammu-Poonch national highway.

The accident happened at around 12:35 PM when the driver of the bus failed to negotiate a sharp curve. The tragic accident occurred at Tungi Morh, approximately 12 kilometers from Akhnoor on the highway.

The police stated that the ill-fated bus (UP-81-CT-4058) was transporting passengers from Hathras district in Uttar Pradesh to the Shiv Khori shrine in Reasi district of Jammu.

May 29, Dausa Bus Accident

A young woman lost their life and over 22 others sustained injuries when a sleeper bus traveling from Haridwar to Jaipur fell off a culvert and overturned after leaping off the divider near Dausa on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway today.

The incident, which took place around 5:30 am, occurred when the bus driver reportedly dozed off, causing the vehicle to veer off the divider and plunge off the culvert.

May 30, Pampore Bus Accident, Jammu & Kashmir

A bus overturned in Pampore town on the old National Highway early this morning, resulting in one death and injuring 15 others.

June 1, USRTC Bus Rams into Auto Rikshaw Killing 5 People

Five people, including a 5-year-old boy, lost their lives on Saturday when an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus collided with an auto-rickshaw in Firozabad.

According to the police, all the deceased were passengers in the auto-rickshaw. Additionally, six other individuals traveling in the auto-rickshaw sustained injuries in the accident.

June 1,  KSRTC Bus Kills Biker in Udupi

A bike rider died on the spot after being hit by a KSRTC bus near the Amruteshwari Circle in Kota, Udupi. The deceased, Vasudev was on his way back home late in the night when the KSRTC bus, en route from Mangaluru to Sirsi hit him.

He was rushed to the hospital but was declared “brought dead”.

Locals have asserted that the junction where the accident took place is particularly dangerous as the main road and service road converge at the same point, leading to frequent accidents and fatalities.

June 2, Akhnoor Bus Accident, Jammu

A bus overturned in the Akhnoor sub-division on Sunday, killing two passengers and injuring 16 others, police said. A police official stated the accident happened near Kaleeth village in the evening after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

According to a police official, the accident occurred due to the driver losing control of the vehicle.

June 2, Nud Village Bus Accident

A two-wheeler collided with a bus at Nud village on the outskirts of Jammu on Sunday, resulting in one death and leaving another person injured.

June 2, Ranchi Bus Accident

A two-wheeler collided with a city bus near Tilta Chowk under Ratu police station area in Ranchi, resulting in one death and one injury.

June 3, Palnadu Bus Accident

A bus accident claimed the life of a woman and left 20 others injured in the Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. The incident unfolded near Petlurivaripalem in Narasaraopeta mandal.

The bus, en route from Karnataka to Yanam, was carrying a total of 39 passengers, including the driver. As it encountered a fallen tree branch obstructing the road, the driver’s attempt to evade it resulted in a loss of control and a subsequent crash.

June 3, VRL bus Accident in Yadgir

A Vijayanand Travels bus en route from Kalaburgi to Bangalore met with an accident near the Shahapura taluk of Yadgir district in Karnataka. The accident claimed the lives of two passengers and injured 7 others.

Several other passengers sustained minor injuries.

According to Surapura DSP Javed Inamdar, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle near Hattigoodur village bridge and it veered off the bridge, and overturned.

June 4, MR Travels Accident in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh

A bus operated by MR Travels overturned in Rajgarh district headquarters in Madhya Pradesh. At least three passengers were killed in the accident, while about 20 others were injured.

The bus, carrying about 40 passengers, was coming from Bhopal to Jaipur when it lost control and overturned near the Nevaj River bridge in Rajgarh.

June 5, BEST Bus Kills Man in Vile Parle

A 41-year-old man, Pradam Singh, was killed after being struck by a BEST bus in Vile Parle (East) on June 5.

The accident occurred on Nehru Road when the bus, driven by 44-year-old Rahul Kamble, hit Singh from behind, causing severe injuries to his legs. Singh was transported to Cooper Hospital by the driver.

Despite medical efforts, Singh was declared dead on June 7. The police have arrested Kamble and are investigating the incident.

June 6, Haryana Roadways Accident in Jhajjar

On June 6, a tanker driver lost his life and 23 passengers were critically injured when a Haryana Roadways bus collided with a truck near Dhurana village in Beri tehsil, Jhajjar district.

The injured were referred to PGIMS, Rohtak, and their conditions are reported as critical. According to local police, the accident was caused by a tire burst, which led the tanker driver to lose control and ram into the oncoming bus. The tanker driver died on the spot.

June 7, APSTC Bus Rams into Lorry in Maddurupadu

In a tragic incident on the Kolkata-Chennai national highway, an RTC bus collided with a lorry at Maddurupadu in Kavali early this morning. The bus driver, apparently drowsy, hit the lorry from behind, resulting in one fatality and seven serious injuries.

The deceased, identified as Tallam Lakshmaiah, was a passenger traveling from Giddalur to Chennai. The impact of the crash claimed his life instantly. The injured victims were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

June 8, Bus Overturns in Lucknow-Agra Expressway

Two women and a child lost their lives, while 46 others were injured when a bus carrying devotees from Vaishno Devi overturned on the Agra-Lucknow expressway in Firozabad.

The accident occurred near kilometer marker 51 under the jurisdiction of Nasirpur police station. The bus, which began its journey from Chhattisgarh on May 28 and was returning from the shrine via Prayagraj, veered off the expressway and fell into a deep gorge as it entered Firozabad.

Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. There were more than 60 passengers on board the bus during the accident.

June 9, Jajpur Bus Accident Kills 2 and Injures 15

the driver and the helper of a tourist bus lost their lives, while 13 passengers sustained critical injuries following a collision with a cement-laden truck.

The accident occurred as the bus, traveling from Kolkata to Puri, collided with the truck at Kandhei chhak under Barchana police limits.

Initial reports indicate that seven individuals are in critical condition and have been transferred to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Sarat Patra, Inspector-In-Charge of Barchana Police Station, stated, “The accident took place at approximately 3:45 am. Upon receiving the information, the night patrol, NH patrolling team, and police station staff promptly responded. The bus, carrying around 60 passengers, caught fire post-collision. Fire services department personnel were immediately summoned, and two bodies were recovered from the wreckage.”

June 10, Purvanchal Expressway Bus Accident Kills Four and Injures Nine

Four people were killed and nine others injured on Monday when their bus collided with a stationary truck near Mussepur village on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, police said. The bus was traveling from Ayodhya to Vikramganj in Bihar.

June 10, TNSTC Bus Overturns Killing One and Injuring 40 Others

A woman passenger was killed when a TNSTC bus traveling from Coimbatore to Kovilpatti overturned after hitting a parapet wall on the Virudhunagar-Sattur highway early Monday morning (June 10, 2024) at around 5:30 a.m.

Police reported that 40 passengers and the bus crew were injured and rushed to the Government Virudhunagar Medical College Hospital. Ms. Bhuvaneswari later succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities suspect that the bus driver, Murugabhoopathi, fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to lose control of the speeding bus, which then struck a parapet wall near the Vachchakarapatti bus stop. The impact caused extensive damage to the bus, including a damaged axle and all four wheels detaching from the body.

June 11, Noida Bus Crash Kills One and Injures Another

One person died and another was critically injured after a bus crashed into the boundary wall of a residential society in Noida, after running over a roadside momos stall. According to police, the incident occurred at 6:54 pm near Sriram Apartments in Sector 118, Noida.

The bus was transporting factory workers from Greater Noida to Sorkha and Parthala villages in Noida. The accident happened when the bus lost control at a turn near Sriram Apartments, hitting a roadside food cart before crashing into the boundary wall of the society.

Two men at the Momos stall were run over and crushed under the bus. The bus is registered with Anant Tours & Travels.

June 11, BEST Bus Crushes Man in Mahim

An unidentified 30-year-old individual was tragically killed under a BEST bus in Mahim on Tuesday. The victim had been sleeping outside the Mahim bus depot when the bus ran over him while exiting the depot. The person was transported to Sion Hospital and was declared dead on arrival.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Shashikant Balaram Thombre from Mahim Police Station stated that the bus driver, Yashwant Nangre, 56, was driving negligently and failed to notice the person sleeping on the road. Nangre has been taken into custody.

June 11, Freak Accident in Chromepet Kills Bus Driver

In a tragic incident near Chromepet on Monday, a 40-year-old driver of a private company bus lost his life. M Murugan, hailing from Sholavaram, was driving an office bus for a car manufacturing firm in Chengalpattu.

While ferrying 15 employees from Ayapakkam to Chengalpattu along the Poonamallee-Vandalur bypass road near Kundrathur around 8 am, Murugan lost control of the bus. The vehicle rammed into the median, causing the driver’s side door to open. Murugan fell out and was fatally crushed under the bus’s rear wheels. Two passengers sustained minor injuries in the mishap.

June 11, 3 Killed As Bus Turns Turtle in J&K’s Baramulla

Three passengers lost their lives and 18 others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to police reports, a minibus carrying passengers overturned after the driver lost control near Pazalpora in the Rafiabad area.

The injured individuals were promptly transported to GMC in Baramulla for medical treatment. While two passengers died on the spot, the third was declared dead upon arrival.

June 11, Uttarkashi Bus Accident Claims 3 Lives

Three individuals tragically lost their lives, and 14 others sustained injuries when a tourist bus plunged into a gorge on the Gangotri highway in Uttarkashi district at around 9:00 PM in the night. The bus was transporting a total of 36 passengers, with 29 from Uttarakhand and seven from Uttar Pradesh. Among 14 people injured, 12 are in serious condition. The accident claimed the lives of three women passengers.

June 12, Bus Crash in Salem Kills 5

Two motorcycles were sandwiched between a truck and a bus resulting in five deaths and injuring 9 others.

The accident occurred near Sukkampatti on the Tirupattur-Salem road when the lorry slowed down over a speed breaker. Despite the motorcycles slowing down behind it, the bus failed to brake in time, leading to the fatal collision.

June 12, Sehore Bus Accident Kills Four

An out-of-control bus collided with a motorcycle and overturned in the Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh The tragic incident resulted in four fatalities and left eight others injured.

Prompt response from Shahganj Police facilitated the rescue and transportation of injured passengers to the hospital. The accident severely impacted traffic flow, requiring a crane to remove the overturned bus from the road.

June 13, Speeding Truck Rams Bus in Tenkasi Killing Three

Three passengers, including a child, lost their lives when a private bus overturned after being struck by a speeding truck from Kerala in Tenkasi. The injured passengers have been hospitalized at the District Headquarters Hospital.

June 15, Rudraprayag Bus Accident Kills 15 and Injures 11

On June 15, a tragic accident occurred on the Badrinath Highway in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district, where a Tempo Traveller mini-bus carrying 26 passengers veered off the road and plummeted into a deep gorge.

The vehicle, which was on a trip to Chopta-Tungnath-Chandrashila, lost control and tumbled approximately 500 meters down from the main road, resulting in the death of 15 passengers and injuring 11 others.

June 15, Morning Star Bus Accident in Nitapudi

A severe accident occurred early Sunday near Nitapudi, Sattenapalli mandal, involving a Morning Star Travels bus and a stationary lorry. The collision claimed the life of the bus cleaner, 24-year-old Manikantha, and left nine others injured.

June 16, Army jawans Killed As Bus Rams into Auto Rikshaw

Two soldiers lost their lives, and seven others, including six soldiers and the auto driver, sustained injuries in a tragic incident in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The accident occurred when a high-speed private bus collided with an auto-rickshaw carrying eight soldiers from the Guards Regiment Centre in Kamptee. The collision took place near the Kanhan River bridge at approximately 5:30 PM.

The bus was driving on the wrong side of the road.

June 16, PMPL Bus Mows Down Senior Citizen

A tragic incident occurred at Warje Chowk around 9 AM, where a 62-year-old resident of Paud Road, Vasant Tikone, lost his life after his scooter was hit by a PMPML bus.

Tikone, who worked as a security guard in Mutha village, was traveling along the Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass service road from Chandni Chowk when the accident happened.

According to Senior Inspector Manoj Shedge of Warje police, the bus driver failed to see Tikone as he crossed towards Katraj. The collision occurred on the driver’s side of the bus, causing severe injuries to Tikone, who tragically passed away due to those injuries.

June 21, HRTC Accident in Shimla Leaves 4 Dead

A Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus accident in Jubbal, Shimla, resulted in the deaths of at least four people and injured three others on June 21.

Among the deceased were the bus driver, the conductor, a woman, and a Nepali national. The bus had five passengers at the time of the incident. Two individuals died at the scene, while the other two succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

June 22, Bus Crushes Factory Worker in Gurugram

On Saturday morning at Sector 35, a worker from an auto parts manufacturing company was tragically run over by a staff bus on the factory premises.

The incident occurred just moments after the worker, Monu, had disembarked from the bus and waved to someone. As he walked towards them, the bus, which had transported him to the factory, struck him while reversing. Monu fell to the ground and was caught under the bus’s rear wheels.

June 22, TNSTC Bus Crashes into Petrol Pump

A Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus, traveling from Madhavaram bus terminus to Sathyavedu in Andhra Pradesh, collided with a petrol station near Sholavaram bypass road.

The collision happened as the bus driver attempted to avoid an oncoming vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. Sudha, who suffered a severe head injury from hitting a steel pipe during the crash, tragically passed away upon arrival at a nearby private hospital.

Additionally, approximately six passengers sustained minor injuries, while others suffered internal injuries in the accident.

June 23, Kallada Bus Accident Kills One in Kochi

A tragic bus accident in Kochi, Kerala, resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and injured over 15 passengers. Eyewitnesses reported that the Kallada sleeper bus, traveling from Bengaluru to Varkala, crashed into the Panangad traffic signal post before overturning onto a waiting motorcyclist.

The bus, carrying 42 passengers, was en route from Bengaluru to Varkala when the accident occurred, leading to multiple injuries.

The incident at Madhavana Junction claimed the life of Jijo Sebastian, a 33-year-old motorcyclist from Wagamon, who was trapped under the overturned bus.

June 23, Two Killed As Morning Star Bus Overturns

Two passengers lost their lives when a private bus collided with a pole and overturned at Hyderabad’s Narsingi Outer Ring Road.

Sources reported that the bus, operated by Morning Star Travels, was en route from Hyderabad to Chennai via Vijayawada with approximately 30 passengers onboard. The accident occurred around 9 PM when the bus reached Narsingi Outer Ring Road, hitting a pole and overturning.

During the collision, a woman named Mamta was killed as she was ejected from the bus and trapped beneath it. At least 15 other passengers sustained injuries, and one of them later succumbed to his injuries on Monday.

June 25, Girl killed as scooter brushes BEST bus in Mumbai

A tragic accident in Borivli West resulted in the death of a four-year-old girl named Eva Singh. She was riding pillion on her grandfather Navalkishore Singh’s scooter on their way to school when the vehicle brushed against a BEST bus. The collision caused both Eva and her grandfather to lose balance and fall. Eva sustained head injuries and lost consciousness. She was rushed to Neoplus Criticare Children’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

June 26, Bus Crushed Cyslist in Lucknow

In a tragic incident in Lucknow, a cyclist was fatally run over by a bus. The accident, captured on CCTV in the Wazirganj area, shows the cyclist riding on the left side of the road.

He is forced to move to the center due to a double-parked car ahead of him. While changing lanes, the cyclist can be seen taking out his phone and checking it. The bus then hits him, causing him to fall and tragically crushing his head under its wheels.

June 28, Haveri Mini-Bus Accident Kills 13 in Karnataka

At least 13 people died and two others were critically injured when a mini-bus hit a stationary truck in Byadagi Taluk, Haveri district, Karnataka, early Friday.
