Dehradun to Ayodhya Bus: Know Timing, Fare and Online Booking Options

Following Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s directive to facilitate the pilgrimage for devotees and tourists, the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has launched a new Dehradun to Ayodhya bus service.

The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has initiated a special Dehradun to Ayodhya bus service in preparation for the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22. This move comes as a result of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s directive to facilitate the pilgrimage for devotees and tourists.

The bus was flagged off after the rituals at ISBT on January 10, 2023, with 16 passengers.

The decision to launch this bus service follows Chief Minister Pushkar Singh’s meeting with the Uttarakhand Transport Department earlier this month.

During the discussion, he emphasized the need to introduce bus services from Dehradun, Haldwani, and Haridwar to Ayodhya to accommodate the growing number of devotees and tourists expected to visit for the grand consecration ceremony.

Dehradun to Ayodhya Bus Timing and Route

The Dehradun to Ayodhya Bus timing has been carefully planned to ensure passenger convenience.

The bus will depart from Dehradun at 11:30 AM and will reach Ayodhya at 5 AM the next day.

On its return journey, it will depart from Ayodhya at 3 PM, reaching Dehradun at 8 AM the following day.

Covering a total distance of 754 km one way, the Dehradun to Ayodhya bus will travel via Haridwar, Najibabad, Nagina, Dhampur, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Lucknow, and Barabanki. 

The bus will operate daily.

Dehradun to Ayodhya Bus Fare

The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has ensured that the Dehradun to Ayodhya bus fare is minimal, making it accessible to everyone.

The fare for this special bus service has been set at Rs 1095, providing a convenient travel option for those eager to participate in the historic event.

To ensure the safety of passengers, there will be two drivers on the bus.

Bus Details

The Dehradun to Ayodhya bus service has initially been launched with ordinary buses. Currently, this service features non-AC buses with a seating capacity of 52 passengers.

However, the government is considering the possibility of introducing luxury AC buses in the near future.

Online Booking Facility to be Initiated Soon

Dehradun to Ayodhya Bus

Currently, manual booking is the available option for the Dehradun to Ayodhya bus service, as stated by the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation Divisional Manager.

However, online booking facility will be introduced soon, allowing passengers to conveniently book tickets from the comfort of their homes.

Rishikesh to Ayodhya Bus to be Launched

Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm among pilgrims to attend the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir, the Uttarakhand Government has introduced a dedicated from Rishikesh to Ayodhya bus service.

The bus, originating from the Haridwar depot, will depart at 5:30 PM to read the Rishikesh bus stand at 6:30 PM.

The service is designed to facilitate pilgrims’ travel to Ayodhya, reaching the destination at 12:30 pm the next day and returning at 5:30 PM on the same evening.

Dehradun to Ayodhya Train to be Launched Soon

Additionally, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh has also disclosed that a dedicated Dehradun to Ayodhya train will be launched soon.

He has urged Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to extend the proposed Vande Bharat Rail service from Dehradun-Lucknow to Ayodhya.

“The Dehradun to Ayodhya train will ease travel for Uttarakhand residents and devotees coming to the sacred city during the significant event,” he adds.

The Indian Railways has also announced plans to operate more than 1000 trains from various parts of the country during the first 100 days of the Ram Mandir consecration.

These trains, starting from January 19, aim to facilitate the travel of pilgrims to and from Ayodhya.
