The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation has unveiled two new bus routes, namely BMTC 500-CS and BMTC 5050, as well as reintroduced route 285-RB, enhancing the city’s public transportation network.

The newly launched BMTC Route 500-CS provides connectivity between Sarjapur and Central Silk Board, catering to the commuting needs of residents and workers in these areas.

Similarly, BMTC Route 5050 serves the route between Hosa Road and Varthur Kodi, offering convenient travel options for passengers traveling along this corridor.

Additionally, the reintroduction of route 285-RB addresses the demand for transportation services along its designated route, contributing to improved accessibility and mobility for commuters in Bengaluru.

Earlier on February 22, BMTC launched the BMTC Vayu Vajra KIA-8D route has been launched from Sarjapur Road to the Airport.

BMTC 500-CS Route Details

BMTC 500-CS route has been introduced to establish connectivity between Sarjapur and Central Silk Board, addressing the transportation requirements of residents and employees within these localities.

The service will be facilitated by two buses, each making a total of 12 trips daily.

The designated route for BMTC 500-CS will include the following stoppages:

  1. Dommasandra 
  2. Kodatti Gate
  3. Kaikondrahalli
  4. Iblur Junction
  5. Agara

BMTC 500-CS Timing

The first BMTC 500-CS bus from Sarjapur will start at 10:10 AM and the last bus will depart from Sarjapur to Central Silk Board at 04:35 PM.

Similarly, the first bus from Central Silk Board to Sarjapur will start at 08:15 AM and the last bus will depart at 03:25 PM.

BMTC 500-CS timing is as follows:

BMTC 505 Route Details

The newly launched BMTC 505 bus route facilitates seamless connectivity between Hosa Road and Varthur Kodi, providing commuters with enhanced accessibility along this route.

The service will be facilitated by two buses, each making a total of 14 trips daily.

However, it has to be noted that, there will be 8 trips between Hosa Road and Varthur Kodi while there will only be 6 trips between Varthur Kodi and Hosa Road.

The designated route for BMTC 505 will include the following stoppages:

  1. Kasavanahalli
  2. Doddakannelli
  3. Krupanidhi College
  4. Ganjur
  5. Varthur

BMTC 505 Timing

The first BMTC 505 bus from Hosa Road will start at 08:40 AM and the last bus will depart from Hosa Road to Varthur Kodi at 05:50 PM.

Similarly, the first bus from Varthur Kodi to Hosa Road will start at 10:15 AM and the last bus will depart at 04:40 PM.
