Ashok Leyland Will Deliver 1282 Buses to GSRTC

Commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland has secured a substantial order for 1,282 fully built buses from the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC).
This is one of the largest bus orders from a State Transport Undertaking for a single OEM and further establishes Ashok Leyland’s prominence in the Indian bus market.
About the Ashok Leyland Buses to Be Delivered to GSRTC
These 11-meter fully assembled diesel buses will showcase Ashok Leyland’s in-house developed iGen6 BS VI OBD II technology, adhering to the stringent AIS 052 and AIS 153 CMVR bus body standards.
The buses will have a robust 147 kW (197 hp) H-series engine, providing superior passenger comfort and safety. This move is expected to reduce the overall cost of ownership as well.
Ashok Leyland will deliver these 55-seater BS VI diesel buses in a phased manner.

The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has maintained a long standing partnership with Ashok Leyland, currently operating over 2600 BS VI buses, including 320 fully built midi buses.
This latest order significantly boosts Ashok Leyland‘s order for State Transport Undertakings to an impressive total of over 4,000 buses.
