MEIL Donates Electric Buses to AIIMS and Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Mangalagiri

As part of its CSR initiative, MEIL donates electric buses to AIIMS and Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Andhra Pradesh.

The MEIL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) wing of Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited, has donated two electric buses to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh.

The donation aligns with MEIL’s vision of contributing to cleaner, greener mobility solutions.

The electric buses, manufactured by Olectra Greentech Limited, were formally handed over at a ceremony attended by key dignitaries, including Nara Lokesh, the Minister of IT for Andhra Pradesh.

Along with other officials, Nara Lokesh flagged off the electric buses, marking a major step in the state’s shift to eco-friendly transportation.

These new electric buses come equipped with the latest technology to ensure passengers enjoy a comfortable and secure travel experience. Designed to accommodate up to 18 passengers, each bus boasts a remarkable range of 150 kilometers on a single charge, ensuring that daily commutes are efficient and eco-friendly.

The buses are also fitted with digital instrument panels, Electronic Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS), real-time Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS), and Reverse Park Assist Systems (RPAS), which enhance passenger safety and driving convenience.

For added comfort, the buses feature air-conditioned interiors, USB charging ports, and a range of amenities designed for modern-day passengers.

With these features, the buses not only provide a reliable mode of transport but also help minimize the environmental impact of traditional fuel-based vehicles.
