HRTC Diwali Special Buses Routes 2024: 155 Extra Buses to Meet Festive Demand

An extra fleet of 155 HRTC Diwali Special Buses has been deployed this year to meet the surge in travel demand during the the upcoming Diwali season.

As Diwali approaches, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is witnessing a surge in demand, and online bookings have already reached their limits.

Responding to this demand the corporation has announced that it will operate 155 extra Diwali special buses to ensure that passengers can commute to their hometowns conveniently.

Diwali special buses operated by HRTC will be operational on October 29 and October 30. The corporation has also announced that it will operate additional buses on November 2 and November 3, depending on booking demand.

The HRTC Diwali special bus fleet includes both Volvo and ordinary buses and will be operational on operation routes.

HRTC Diwali Special Bus Routes

1. Delhi to Himachal – 60 Buses

Of the 155 total buses, HRTC has allocated 60 buses from Delhi to 14 depots across Himachal Pradesh. These buses will be operational on October 30 and include 54 ordinary buses and six Volvos.

There will be 70 HRTC Diwali special buses connecting Chandigarh to various parts of Himachal Pradesh on October 29 and October 30. This includes services to:

  • Chamba
  • Dharamshala
  • Baijnath
  • Palampur
  • Nagrota Bagwan
  • Dehra
  • Hamirpur
  • Una
  • Kullu
  • Mandi
  • Sundernagar
  • Sarkaghat
  • Pathankot

While HRTC has allocated 29 buses to these routes on October 29, the corporation will operate 41 buses on these routes on October 30, with additional services to Bilaspur.

25 Special Buses from Baddi

HRTC will also operate 25 Diwali special buses from Baddi to various districts of Himachal on October 29 and October 30. These routes will include:

  • Mandi
  • Palampur
  • Hamirpur
  • Dehra
  • Bilaspur
  • Una

HRTC Diwali special bus tickets are available for purchase both online and at physical counters in various depots.

However, given the surge in demand during this peak travel period, travelers are strongly encouraged to book tickets online.
