JAKSON Green E-Mobility has won the tender for 220 electric buses in Gujarat under the Government of India’s PM-eBus Sewa Programme.

The order, secured within the company’s first year of operations, will expand its presence in India’s electric bus and commercial vehicle segment. Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) floated the tender.

The deployment will cover three cities: Vadodara will receive 120 electric buses, Gandhidham 80 and Navsari 20.

12-Year Contract Covers Buses and Charging Infrastructure

Under a 12-year Gross Cost Contract (GCC), JAKSON Green E-Mobility will procure, deploy, operate and maintain 9-metre air-conditioned electric buses. The contract also includes the development, operation and maintenance of the associated charging infrastructure.

The integrated arrangement combines electric bus deployment with charging facilities and fleet operations, with the aim of supporting reliable public transport services throughout the contract period.

Deepak Thakur, CEO of JAKSON Green E-Mobility, said securing the order in the company’s first year was an important milestone.

“By integrating electric buses, charging infrastructure and fleet operations, we aim to deliver safe, reliable and efficient mobility solutions for the people of Vadodara, Gandhidham and Navsari.”

JAKSON Green Expands Electric Mobility Operations

The Gujarat project advances JAKSON Green E-Mobility’s approach to the electric bus and commercial vehicle segment, covering fleet deployment, charging infrastructure, operations and lifecycle maintenance.

The deployment is expected to support cleaner urban transport across the three cities through zero-tailpipe-emission buses. It also aligns with the broader objectives of the PM-eBus Sewa Programme to accelerate the adoption of electric buses in public transportation.

The long-term contract places responsibility for both vehicles and charging infrastructure with the company, making operational performance, fleet availability and maintenance key elements of the project’s delivery.
