From Material Supplier to Technology Partner

IRPL’s role in bus manufacturing has evolved beyond supplying raw materials. The company works with bus OEMs, bus body builders, and composite component manufacturers from the design and development stage, helping them meet requirements for lightweighting, fire safety, durability, aesthetics, and production efficiency.
Its composite solutions are used in FRP body panels, roofs, side panels, front and rear fascias, luggage compartments, battery enclosures, dashboards, interior components and structural parts.
The company also provides the wider manufacturing ecosystem required for FRP production, including glass fibre reinforcements, catalysts and accelerators, pigment pastes, gelcoats, mould-release systems, rollers, brushes and other processing consumables.
Building Better Composite Components
At the core of IRPL’s portfolio are its Unsaturated Polyester Resins (UPR), including isophthalic, orthophthalic, terephthalic, DCPD-based and flexible resin systems.
For more demanding applications, the company offers Vinyl Ester and Super Vinyl Ester resins, designed for higher mechanical performance, chemical resistance and durability.
Fire safety is another growing priority. IRPL’s Fire-Retardant Resin Systems, tested and approved by an ICAT-accredited laboratory, are designed to meet stringent fire-safety requirements while maintaining manufacturing efficiency and mechanical performance.
Its COLOURCOAT gelcoats and pre-pigmented gelcoats provide a Class-A surface finish, UV resistance, colour retention, and durability, while eliminating manual colour mixing during production.
The Mould Matters Too

IRPL’s TOOLEX® tooling system focuses on the foundation of composite manufacturing, the mould itself.
The system delivers dimensional accuracy, rigidity, surface finish, and longer mould life, helping manufacturers achieve consistent production quality across repeated manufacturing cycles.

Supporting Manufacturers Across India
IRPL operates two manufacturing plants, four regional stock points in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru, and nine sales and technical service offices across India.
This network supports faster material availability and local technical assistance while reducing production disruptions for customers. The company also exports specialty resin solutions to international markets.
Behind the network is a manufacturing and R&D ecosystem built around SCADA automation, quality laboratories, a dedicated R&D centre, and structured technical support.
