JBM Auto emerged as the leading player in India’s electric bus market in May 2026, capturing a dominant 49% market share with 157 electric bus registrations, according to Vahan portal data. The company recorded the highest number of electric bus registrations during the month, strengthening its leadership in India’s rapidly expanding electric mobility sector.

This performance builds on JBM Auto’s strong FY26 momentum, where it also led the industry in electric bus registrations. The latest data highlights accelerating adoption of electric buses across India’s public transport ecosystem and reinforces JBM Auto’s position at the forefront of the country’s shift toward sustainable mobility solutions.

The results gain additional significance following the integration of Telangana’s vehicle registration data into the Vahan portal from May 2026, offering a more complete national view of electric bus deployment and market performance.

JBM Auto’s leadership is supported by its advanced manufacturing capabilities and its focus on developing high-strength, lightweight bus platforms designed for efficient and sustainable public transportation. The company continues to leverage global technologies to deliver scalable, high-performance electric mobility solutions for urban and intercity transit operators.
