VECV and Baidyanath LNG MOU for 500 LNG Trucks Marks Major Green Transport Initiative
VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) Limited has announced a new partnership with Baidyanath LNG Private Limited through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deploy 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks.
This notable VECV and Baidyanath LNG MoU was celebrated at a flag-off ceremony led by Nitin Gadkari, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, at the newly inaugurated Baidyanath LNG station in Nagpur.
This collaboration aims to expand the network of LNG stations across Central India. By doing so, it seeks to enhance the development of green trucking routes and support the transition towards cleaner fuel alternatives in long-haul transportation.
Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director and CEO of VECV, highlighted the importance of LNG as a sustainable fuel for long-haul trucking.
He expressed optimism about the VECV and Baidyanath LNG MoU, believing it will encourage transporters in Maharashtra to consider LNG as an effective and eco-friendly option.
The Eicher Pro 6055 LNG truck features a VEGX8 6-cylinder engine with proven Volvo Group technology. This engine delivers 260 HP at 2200 rpm and 1000 Nm of torque between 1100-1800 rpm, providing reliable performance.
With dual tanks that offer a range of up to 1100 kilometers, the truck is designed for efficiency and includes advanced safety features to prevent fuel theft.

Gagandeep Singh Gandhok, EVP of HD Trucks – Sales and Marketing at VECV, pointed out the truck’s cutting-edge telematics system.
This system connects to an innovative uptime center, which offers remote and predictive diagnostics to enhance customer service.
VECV’s extensive network of over 850 locations supports these LNG trucks’ deployment, including 425 authorized service centers and 8000 retail outlets.
Additionally, the company provides ‘Eicher Site Support’ at more than 240 locations nationwide, ensuring consistent service and support for all Eicher truck and bus customers.
