Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has launched special one-day tourism bus services across eight routes to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026.

The initiative allows passengers to explore popular religious, heritage, and scenic destinations around Pune through organised one-day tours.

The programme is aimed at encouraging women to travel more freely and comfortably while offering a convenient and affordable sightseeing experience with structured routes and city boarding points.

Special Tourism Routes And Destinations Covered

The Women’s Day tourism initiative includes eight curated routes covering several popular destinations in and around the Pune district.

These routes combine religious circuits, heritage landmarks, and scenic nature spots to provide a diverse travel experience in a single day.

According to PMPML officials, the special tourism buses will start their journeys in the morning to allow passengers a full day of travel and sightseeing.

The buses are scheduled to depart between 8:30 am and 9:00 am from key boarding points across the city, including Pune Railway Station, Swargate Bus Stand, and Hadapsar Gadital Bus Stand.

These locations were selected because they are major transport hubs and easily accessible for passengers from different parts of Pune.

After completing the sightseeing circuits across the selected destinations, the buses will return to Pune by evening on the same day, making the initiative a structured one-day tourism experience for passengers.

Ticket Price And Booking Details

PMPML has fixed a flat fare of ₹500 per passenger for the entire one-day tour.

The uniform pricing has been introduced to keep the trips affordable and accessible to a wider group of travellers, particularly women looking for safe and organised travel options.

Passengers have been advised to book seats in advance, as the capacity on each bus is limited and the tours are expected to attract significant demand.
