Noida Double-Decker Bus Trial Set to Begin on This Route
The Noida double-decker bus service is set to launch after May 15, offering electric buses between Morna Depot and Pari Chowk to improve high-capacity, eco-friendly public transport in the region.

The Uttar Pradesh Transport Department is set to launch the Noida double-decker bus service later this month. Two electric double-decker buses will begin trial operations between Morna Depot in Noida and Pari Chowk in Greater Noida, marking the start of a new era in high-capacity, eco-friendly commuting for the region.
As part of the first phase, 20 double-decker electric buses will be deployed across Uttar Pradesh. Noida is expected to receive two buses initially for the pilot run. If the trial proves successful, the route may be extended to Jewar, and additional buses could be added to the fleet in the future.

Noida Double-Decker Bus Routes
The Noida double-decker bus route between Morna Depot and Pari Chowk is one of the busiest corridors, currently served by CNG buses.
The introduction of these high-capacity electric buses is expected to ease congestion and enhance travel comfort for daily commuters, especially office-goers and students.
With nearly double the seating capacity of regular buses, these vehicles will help accommodate rising passenger volumes in this growing urban area.

Launch Timeline and Next Steps
According to transport department sources and a report by Jagran.com, preparations are already underway, and depot staff are finalizing arrangements for the rollout.
Once the buses arrive, authorities will confirm stops, fare structures, and schedules. The Noida double-decker bus service is expected to officially launch after May 15, 2025.
Charging Infrastructure in Place
Supporting this rollout, a new EV charging station has been installed at Morna Bus Depot. The facility is set to become operational as soon as the electricity connection is activated.
This station will not only serve the Noida double-decker buses but also other electric buses traveling to and from key cities like Aligarh, Agra, and nearby regions.
The launch of the Noida double-decker bus service reflects the state’s commitment to sustainable and efficient public transport solutions. By leveraging electric mobility and high-capacity design, these buses promise to reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions, supporting a cleaner, more connected urban future.
