JBM Electric Vehicles (JBM EV), a part of the $3 billion JBM Group from India, has officially forayed into the European market with the launch of the all-electric city bus – the ECOLIFE at the ongoing UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2025 in Hamburg, Germany.

Along the bus launch, JBM also spotlighted its E-Verse ecosystem, a fully integrated platform featuring in-house innovations in fast-charging infrastructure, advanced battery systems, and a robust service network designed to keep electric fleets running seamlessly.

It’s a significant moment for JBM, as they bring their full e-mobility ecosystem to Europe. That means not just electric buses, but also the charging infrastructure, power systems, and service support cities need to make zero-emission transport truly work.

Unveiling the ECOLIFE, Mr. Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman of JBM Group, said, “We’re excited to bring our next-generation electric mobility solutions to Europe. To support their European endeavors, the company has set up new headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. This hub will operate all aspects of its business, including sales and after-sales support.

In addition, the JBM EV has also partnered with KazenMaier, a well-known German leasing provider, to help deploy 100 ECOLIFE electric buses and supporting infrastructure across Germany.

As one of the largest electric bus manufacturers in India, JBM EV has extensive experience with 11000 electric buses deployed and under execution in various geographies across the globe. The company also boasts the world’s second-largest electric bus manufacturing unit with an annual production capacity of 20,000 buses.

The JBM ECOLIFE electric city bus is built for today’s urban transit needs, offering a range of up to 400 kilometers on a single charge and supporting ultra-fast charging for quick turnaround times. Its lightweight monocoque body is constructed entirely from stainless steel, ensuring durability without compromising on efficiency.

Under the hood, ECOLIFE features a permanent magnet synchronous motor, paired with modular battery packs that allow for easy upgrades and maintenance. The bus also integrates a regenerative braking system, enhancing energy efficiency while reducing wear and tear.

Inside, ECOLIFE prioritizes sustainability and comfort. The interiors are crafted using recycled materials, and the vehicle is equipped with an Intelligent Transport System in line with EU norms. An advanced telematics suite provides operators with 24/7 real-time access to the vehicle’s health, performance, and diagnostics.
