EKA Mobility and Chartered Speed to Deploy 675 Electric Buses Across Rajasthan

Tuesday, April 29, 2025: EKA Mobility, a leading Indian electric bus manufacturer, in partnership with Chartered Speed, has secured a significant Letter of Award (LOA) to deliver 675 electric buses throughout Rajasthan.
This deployment is part of the central government’s Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa initiative aimed at transforming public transit with sustainable, zero-emission solutions.
The project will roll out electric buses across eight key urban centers – Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, and Bhilwara, bringing a substantial shift in the state’s public transport ecosystem.
The LOA includes 565 nine-meter (9m) electric buses and 110 twelve-meter (12m) electric buses, tailored to enhance urban mobility with cleaner and more efficient transport alternatives.
This initiative supports Rajasthan’s wider goals of combating air pollution, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and modernizing its transport network.

The award follows the nationwide confirmation of electric bus deployment by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), emphasizing the growing momentum in India’s transition to green mobility.
Rohit Srivastava, Business Head and Chief Growth Officer at EKA Mobility, commented, “This landmark order proves that electric mobility is not a distant goal, it’s happening now. We’re proud to contribute to Rajasthan’s journey toward sustainability and are committed to revolutionizing everyday commuting for millions.”
Echoing the sentiment, Sanyam Gandhi, Whole-Time Director at Chartered Speed, said, “This partnership is a testament to our vision for a cleaner and more efficient transport system. With the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme, we are taking bold steps toward an all-electric future, delivering smarter, greener travel options to cities across Rajasthan.”
This development comes on the heels of EKA Mobility’s recent project wins, including contracts valued at approximately ₹150 crore from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), and another worth around ₹400 crore from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
These achievements further cement EKA’s role as a key player in India’s evolving electric transport sector.
