In a move to modernise public transport and improve connectivity in Mumbai, BEST adds 24 new AC buses in Mumbai’s north-eastern suburbs. On Tuesday, the public transport body introduced 24 new AC buses as part of its second phase of service enhancement.

This expansion focuses on north-eastern suburbs of the city, aiming to bridge existing service gaps caused by a dwindling bus fleet.

Enhancing Commuter Experience and Comfort

The initiative is part of a broader plan to upgrade Mumbai’s public transport system. With the rising summer temperatures and increasing demand from daily commuters, BEST aims to deliver a more efficient and comfortable travel option for Mumbai residents.

“The addition of these AC buses is expected to provide a more comfortable and efficient travel option,” said a BEST spokesperson.

The decision aligns with BEST’s ongoing strategy to modernise its fleet and serve growing suburban populations more effectively.
