VE Commercial Vehicles Sales Grow by 3.7% in December 2024

VE Commercial Vehicles sales increased by 3.7% in December 2024. Eicher saw growth in both domestic and export markets, while Volvo trucks grew by 21.9%.

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. reported a 3.7% increase in sales for December 2024, reaching a total of 8,324 units. This marks a solid growth from 8,026 units sold in December 2023.

The company, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, saw contributions from both its Eicher and Volvo brands. Eicher sold 8,035 units, while Volvo accounted for 289 units in the same period.

Strong Growth in Eicher Sales

Eicher’s performance was strong, with sales growing by 3.2% compared to December 2023. The brand sold 8,035 units in December 2024, up from 7,789 units in the previous year.

Domestic sales of Eicher trucks and buses grew by 1%, while exports experienced a much stronger performance with a 52.6% increase. Eicher exported 490 units in December 2024, up from 321 units in the previous year.

Volvo Boosts VE Commercial Vehicles Sales

Volvo trucks and buses also showed impressive growth, with sales up by 21.9%. The brand sold 289 units in December 2024, compared to 237 units in the same month of the previous year.

This growth highlights the strong demand for Volvo’s high-performance commercial vehicles.
