VRL Bus Accident in Yadgir Kills 2 And Injures 7
On June 2, a VRL bus traveling from Kalaburagi to Bangalore met with an accident near the Shahapura taluk of Yadgir district in Karnataka. The accident claimed the lives of two passengers and injured 7 others.
Yadgir, Karnataka: Two persons were killed and 7 others were injured when a sleeper bus operated by VRL Travels overturned in the Yadgir district of Karnataka.
As per local authorities, the bus, on its way to Bengaluru from Kalaburagi had 37 passengers on board at the time of the accident.
The VRL bus accident in Yadgir took place near the Shahapura taluk in the wee hours of the morning.
It is learned that the two deceased residents hailed from Kalaburagi.
The condition of the seven passengers injured in the accident is said to be critical. Apart from the critically injured, several other passengers sustained minor injuries.
The injured have been admitted to the Shahapura Taluk Hospital for treatment. Those who were critically injured were sent to Kalaburagi Hospital for further treatment.
The accident left the bus severely mangled and locals and police had to struggle to pull out the passengers stuck inside the bus.
Cause of the VRL Bus Accident in Yadgir
According to Surapura DSP Javed Inamdar, the bus accident in Yadgir was caused because the driver of the VRL bus lost control of the vehicle near Hattigoodur village bridge. As a result, the bus veered off the bridge and overturned.
