Amidst a tumultuous forecast featuring thunderstorms, drastic temperature fluctuations, and warnings of flash freezes and snow squalls, all school buses across Simcoe County have been cancelled for today, February 28th.
The decision, issued this morning by the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium, impacts buses serving both the Simcoe County District School Board and the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board schools countywide.

Additionally, buses in the Muskoka zone have also been cancelled as a precautionary measure.
Cancelled zones are as follows:
- North: Elmvale, Midland, Penetanguishene, and Orillia
- West: Collingwood, Stayner & Wasaga Beach
- Central: Barrie, Innisfil & Angus
- South: Alliston, Beeton, Bradford, Cookstown & Tottenham
- Muskoka
