Row over parking offence goes viral in social media.

A video of a BMTC bus driver fighting with a Bengaluru traffic policeman has gone viral in social media. According to police, the incident happened on October 19 near Silk Board junction.

In the video recorded by the bus conductor, the policeman can be seen vehemently arguing with the enraged bus driver over a parking offense. Later, the traffic policeman can be seen snatching the bus driver’s mobile phone.

The incident happened on October 19 near Silk Board junction after the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) driver stopped in a no parking zone, traffic police said.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) B R Ravikanthe Gowda revealed that the BMTC bus, bearing registration KA-57-F-2960, was issued a ticket as the vehicle was parked on the service road — a no parking zone. Therefore, the policeman in the video, Head Constable Ravi Kumar, from Madiwala traffic police station asked the driver to move the vehicle but the driver began arguing with the traffic police without following the rules.

The bus driver later apologised and payed a fine of Rs 1,500 for violating traffic rules, revealed the Additional Commissioner.
