The celebration of Maha Shivaratri transcends across Telangana, drawing devout worshippers to revered Shaivite temples, with the Vemulawada Rajanna Temple in Telangana standing as a beacon of devotion.

As the auspicious day approaches on March 8, 2024, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has unveiled a heartening initiative.

To enhance travel convenience for pilgrims attending the festivities it will deploy TSRTC Shivrati special buses.

In a bid to accommodate the surge of devotees flocking to the Maha Shivratri fair at the Vemulawada Rajanna Temple, TSRTC has announced the operation of 1000 Shivratri special buses.

Executive Director Mr. Vinod Kumar of TSRTC Karimnagar shared this news, underlining the corporation’s dedication to ensuring a seamless pilgrimage experience for passengers.

With meticulous planning, TSRTC has scheduled the operation of these festive special buses to align with the anticipated influx of worshippers during the festival.

On March 7, 2024, a fleet of 265 special buses will commence service, followed by 400 buses on March 8, 2024, and 329 buses on March 9, 2024.

These buses will ply from various depots including Warangal, Hanmakonda, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Sircilla, Narsampeta, Korutla, Metpally, Armour, Kama Reddy, Nirmal, and Vemulawada, ensuring accessibility for pilgrims from diverse districts.

Furthermore, in a gesture to enhance intra-city travel for devotees, TSRTC will provide 14 mini buses free of charge from the Vemulawada bus stand to the temple premises throughout the three-day festival.

This collaborative effort between TSRTC and the temple authorities aims to enrich the pilgrimage experience for passengers visiting the Vemulawada Rajanna Temple during Maha Shivaratri.

Last year, a record-breaking 2,427 TSRTC Shivratri special buses were deployed from various districts in Telangana and neighboring Andhra Pradesh to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.

TSRTC has also announced a 10% discount on TSRTC Lahari buses across all routes.
