Truck Homicide – says Anand Mahindra about a truck being scrapped
Reacting to a video of an excavator tearing a truck apart, industrialist Anand Mahindra said -Someone arrest that claw-excavator for ‘truck homicide!’
Mahindra & Mahindra big boss Anand Mahindra is known for his witty X (read Twitter) presence.
On February 22, Anand Mahindra shared a viral video on X showcasing a truck being dismantled by an excavator in what appears to be a factory setting.
Expressing his sentiments, Mahindra conveyed his feelings of dismay, stating that it “hurts” to witness the truck being disassembled into pieces, considering the level of technology and effort invested in its production.
He even went ahead and called for arresting the excavator for “truck homicide”.
“Someone arrest that claw-excavator for ‘truck homicide!’ – he wrote as he retweeted the video.
“As manufacturers, we know how much technology and effort goes into producing trucks. It hurts to see them so mercilessly torn apart. But I suppose through recycling, they’ll live ‘forever,” he wrote further.
The video was originally posted by the Twitter handle How Things Work with the caption “It’s like watching a lion ripping into its prey.”
The video that was posted on February 21, 2024 went on to garner 2.3 million views as of the time of writing this article.
Needless to say, Twitter users swiftly chimed in to share their thoughts on the video after Anand Mahindra shared it.
“The humor in personifying a claw-excavator for ‘truck homicide’ adds a lighthearted touch to the reality of vehicle recycling,” commented a Twitter handle.
“Indeed, the process might seem harsh, but it’s crucial for sustainability. Recycling allows materials from dismantled trucks to be repurposed, contributing to environmental efforts and reducing the need for new raw materials. It’s a reminder that, even though trucks may meet their end in an excavator’s grip, their parts and materials can have a new life in the cycle of recycling,” the user added.

A Twitter handle even asked him to “make a Mahindra claw excavator” to avenge Hyundai vehicles.
Now you make a Mahindra claw excavator and show Hyundai vehicles being dismantled for recycling 🙂
