The wait is finally over! The  Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI) has unveiled the dates for the 4th edition of Prawaas.

Prawaas 4.0 will be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from August 29-31.

During the curtain raiser for the event held on March 22, BOCI also unveiled the theme of Prawaas 4.0 – “Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Passenger Mobility”.

The three-day event will focus mainly on the School bus segment, Tourism, Electric Vehicles (EV), and Metro systems.

As the leading Multimodal Transport Show in India, Prawaas draws the active participation of key players in the passenger mobility sector.

These stakeholders include prominent bus and car manufacturers, fleet owners, and partners in metro and LEVs, representing all 36 States and Union Territories of India.

This year’s event is expected to feature the presence of Tata Motors, Redbus, Eberspaecher Suetrak, Abhibus, VECV, Ashok Leyland, JBM, Repose, Bitla, Mahindra School Bus Division, Urjja Bus, MG Motor, Valeo, Trans ACNR, Valeo Motherson, and many other corporate entities.

Prawaas 4.0 is set to bring together over 100 expert speakers, 200 exhibitors, and 1500 industry delegates.

Plus, there will be more than 6,000 bus and car operators attending, with an expected total of over 10,000 business visitors.

Ramalinga Reddy, the Honourable Minister for Transport and Muzrai, Government of Karnataka, emphasized the crucial role of Prawaas in uniting the Bus, Taxi, and Transport industry over the past three years.

Speaking at the curtain raiser, he highlighted the importance of addressing regulatory needs and system improvements to enhance the quality of life and industry growth.

Reddy stressed the significance of prioritizing tourism development to drive growth in the transport sector. Highlighting recent initiatives such as the online All India Permit Service and reduced parking fees at the Kalasipalyam bus stop, he expressed the government’s commitment to supporting the entire ecosystem.

Currently, private businesses possess 92% of buses in India, while a significant 85% of the population depends exclusively on public transit. We urgently need to rethink public transportation, bridge the gap between private and public options, and reform taxes to boost bus usage.”
