Nainital, October 8: Tragedy struck on Sunday night in Uttarakhand’s Nainital district as a bus, carrying tourists from Haryana’s Hisar district, veered into a gorge.
This devastating Nanital bus accident incident claimed the lives of at least seven passengers, including five women and a minor, with several others sustaining injuries.
The ill-fated bus met with the unfortunate accident near the Kaladhungi area of Uttarakhand’s Nainital district while returning from Nainital.

Swift action was taken by the local police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) who promptly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue and relief operations.
According to their report, the bus, carrying a total of 33 passengers, crashed into a ditch along Kaladhungi Road.
In response to this distressing news, SDRF rescue teams from Post Rudrapur, Nainital, and Khairna were immediately dispatched to the site for rescue efforts.
The cause of the accident is yet to be known.
