Cricket enthusiasts heading to the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the IPL 2025 matches are in for a treat, as MTC Chennai is offering free travel for IPL fans.
Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited has made advance payments to MTC to facilitate smooth transportation during the IPL 2025 season, allowing fans to enjoy these travel perks.
This initiative is aimed at reducing traffic congestion and encouraging fans to use public transport for a hassle-free experience. Fans simply need to show their IPL match tickets to avail of the free travel services.
Details of the Offer
The free travel offer by MTC will be available to fans three hours before and three hours after each match. This will help manage the large crowd expected at the stadium and provide an easy commute for all.
The arrangement is valid for all regular non-AC MTC buses, but please note that air-conditioned buses are not included in this free travel offer.
Shuttle Services to Key Locations
To further ease the travel experience, MTC will operate shuttle services, especially after the match, to key locations within 500 meters of the stadium.
These locations include popular spots such as Anna Square bus stand, Madras University bus stop, and the Omandurar Government Medical College area on Anna Salai.
Additionally, MTC will provide dedicated shuttle services between Anna Statue on Anna Salai and the stadium, making it even more convenient for spectators to access the venue.
This will significantly reduce the time spent in traffic and offer a smooth transition for people attending the IPL matches.
